The Society has not been active for a while, because of the Coronovirus pandemic, but we hope you are all doing well, surviving these difficult times of illness, heat, and fires, and possible electrical outages, and still appreciating the history that our ancestors all struggled through.
We wanted to update you on what we’ve been doing and send along some links to interesting historical presentations that you can watch at home.
The Milpitas Muse, September–October 2020 includes the following articles:
- “We’re Still Here” (Board of Directors of Milpitas Historical Society had its first meeting in months on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 and has updates on Meetings, Dues, Elections and Other News)
- “Indigenous Peoples History in the Bay Area__Webinar Series Part 1” by Mark Hylkema, California State Parks Archaeologist and Adjunct Professor of Anthropology at Foothill College, and Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST).
